Learning by Breaking Things

debuggingdevelopmentdevops

Some of my most useful learning moments did not come from tutorials. They came from things that refused to work.

A missing dependency. A database connection that failed. A React error that made no sense at first. An API returning the wrong response. Docker containers refusing to cooperate. Deployment behaving differently from localhost.

At first, every error felt like a roadblock. Eventually, debugging became part of the development process itself.

I learned to read the error before changing random lines of code, isolate the problem, check assumptions, and test one thing at a time.

You do not really learn software development by avoiding bugs. You learn it by becoming comfortable investigating them.
